We love our support team here and it is because of the amazing quality of the people within…Charlotte being no exception. After 7 years at Camp Wenonah, a long-time client, Charlotte joined us in Sept 2014. Smart, sincere, friendly, funny and a quick study, Charlotte has been an awesome addition to our support crew. Charlotte appears to remain calm and collected in all situations (!?) which is quite handy when you have to juggle a million items at once at the Brain!

Q: My nickname growing up was…..

Chars, Char, Charlatte, Latte, Cha Cha, Slide(?),CRA, Charose, and unfortunately, the list continues. Chars was the most popular though.

Q: My favourite toy growing up was….

Probably my Harry Potter Lego set. It was the closest I could get to going to Hogwarts.

Q: My favourite toy currently is….

…well now I’ve got Lego on my mind…

Q: The thing I love most about coming to work every day…

The people! I love my coworkers and our clients. Everyone is super nice, hilarious, and all about camp (which I obviously love). I also don’t hate the coffee shops nearby.

Q: When I’m not at work, you can usually find me….

Participating in some weird activity with my friends from camp. I also go to a lot of shows. I also occasionally Netflix. But it’s very rare.

Q: If I didn’t work at CampBrain, I would probably be….

Traveling! Or buying lottery tickets so I can afford to travel.

Q: My special talent is….

I knit…a lot.

Q: The worst present I have ever received from someone is….

A few years ago, my aunt gave everyone this thing that turned your cell phone to a rotary phone. Absolutely hilarious but I’m pretty sure everyone ended up returning them.

Q: The worst present I have ever given someone is….

This Is Spinal Tap on VHS. Fantastic movie but it was a very, very last minute gift that was a bit of a cop-out (sorry Tom).

Q: How many times do you hit the snooze button before getting out of bed?

0. I’ve trained myself to believe that snooze buttons don’t exist.

Q: My favourite activity at camp is…

Canoeing, which is hilarious because I’m kind of a terrible canoeist. I can get where I need to go but I’m pretty sure my technique is all wrong.

Q: If you could own a non-traditional pet which would it be?

Is a hedgehog considered non-traditional? I would love a hedgehog. If that’s too traditional, a penguin would be great. They’re extremely cute, love joking around, and never seem to grow up.

Q: What is one of your favourite quotes?

It’s not how you stand by your car, it’s how you race your car – The Fast and the Furious (aka the greatest film of all time).

Q: Ever been addicted to a video/computer game? Which one(s)?

Never. Mainly because whenever anything jumps out at me, I usually freak out and throw the controller at whoever’s nearby.

Q: Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?

I don’t really wear shoes that require tying or untying. I tend to stick to Birkenstocks, boat shoes, and Blundstones.

Q: Favourite smell

Definitely campfire. It’s a bit of a love/hate relationship though! I’ve spent a few too many days reeking of campfire and it takes forever to get the smell out.

Q: Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?

I’ve been told I look like Robin from How I Met Your Mother…I don’t know if I really see it though. But I guess we’re both brunette…? And Canadian…?

Q: What I miss most about being at camp….

That is the hardest question ever. I miss everything! But most of all, I miss spending my summers in the most beautiful setting with my camp family.

Q: What is the farthest you have been from home?

Australia – I actually spent a few months working at a camp there after graduating from university. I’m hoping to go back at some point!

When you are on the phone next with Charlotte, ask her about some of her Netflix favourites.

Some have started camp and most are getting very close. Make it the best summer ever!
