CampBrain Releases Newest Version
Continuing the tradition of making constant improvements to the software, we are pleased to introduce Version 5.1!
Here is a brief description of some of the enhancements:
CampBrain Auto-E-Mailer
The CampBrain Auto-E-Mailer has the ability to send individual e-mails to a select group of people in CampBrain (i.e. campers, families, staff, group leaders, donors, alumni, etc), a group of people that you can choose based on any criteria in the software. What makes this feature even more amazing is that you can attach individualized CampBrain reports and any other existing file. For example, at tax time, you’ll be able to send all of your donors an e-mail with their tax receipt attached as a PDF file. How about sending camper invoices or confirmations by e-mail in one step!
More Online Payment Options
We have expanded the flexibility of how families can pay off their balance when registering online. Registrants may choose from pre-determined payment plans (i.e. instalments) and those post-dated payments are established in the system and can be processed as a batch with a single click. For example, one option could be to collect a deposit upfront and split the balance into 2 instalments. This feature saves both the camp and the parent significant time and ensures camps do not have to chase future payments!
Enhanced Online Filtering of Sessions and Options
Building on a strong ability to only show camps and sessions that are appropriate for their grade, age and gender, we have taken this ability one level further, to the options tier. This is a popular feature amongst our camps and parents alike. This further enhancement means that optional programs like horseback riding, sport specialties, and other items offered within a particular session can now be limited by specific criteria.
Improved Group Rebooker
When you choose to rebook a group in the Outdoor and Conference Center, you now have the ability to rebook their meals and charges. Also, if you opt to rebook a group’s accommodations and reservations, you will be able to see if there are any impending conflicts for that future group.
On a related note, the Group Reservations screen now displays booking conflicts and shows you the name of the group that has already reserved a desired resource.
Improved Donor Module Speed
For those donors with a considerable number of donations, CampBrain experienced a lag time when viewing the donor record. We reviewed and adjusted the way in which the donor module handled large amounts of data and the speed has been dramatically improved.
Reporting Screen - Major Improvements
We’ve updated the way that you can select reporting filters based on camper history, contact log items and tags. The most important of which is you can now find matching records based on the absence of this data (i.e. find all campers who have not received a confirmation email). A new filter subsection for e-mail addresses has been added to the reporting section. You are now able to search through these or even locate those records that are missing e-mail addresses in their files.
Improved Search Functionality
The default search has been modified to filter through the last names of main records and of their spouses (i.e. Parent 1 or Parent 2). At any point in time, you can reset your search criteria to the default by right-clicking on the search grid, and selecting Reset. Of course, the ability to modify your search options (i.e. what to look for and what to display), remains as flexible as ever. Changes have been made so CampBrain loads the initial search screen immediately, and only displays matching records once you ask to find them - for larger databases, this will eliminate any lag times.
