American Diabetes Association Expands Pilot to a Full Release of CampBrain to Camps

On the heels of a successful pilot test at three American Diabetes Association (ADA) camps during summer 2003, CampBrain received the green light to roll out its software at ADA camp locations nationwide.

Designed to simplify diabetes camp operations by providing users with a wealth of information at their fingertips and ease of entry, ADA will use many of CampBrain’s standard modules, such as camper registration, bunk assignments, family and emergency contact information, camper billing and receivables, camper transportation, and staff information. To meet the unique needs of ADA campers and make the experience even more user-friendly, ADA’s version of CampBrain will not only feature a customized medical module, but also be able connect to ADA’s new CURE software system for downloads.

“One major benefit of CampBrain is that it’s a highly customizable management tool, able to address the unique situation of our campers and their parents,” stated Michelle Knight, Field Director, Camp & Youth, ADA. “And because we will have a consistent data management tool in place nationwide, the IT&S Division can focus its training and support efforts on one software. In addition, CampBrain will provide national camp leaders with the ability to effectively analyze and manage their national camp programs and objectives.”

CampBrain and ADA will continue to work on configuration and installation over the next few months, and provide training to all users.
