Can you transfer data from our existing database into CampBrain?
Yes, most of the time. Over the years, we have transferred data from a wide variety of software platforms into CampBrain. The time taken to complete the transfer can either be deducted from your initial 10 hours of technical support hours or may be paid for separately at a discounted hourly rate. Do you offer technical support of the software?
Absolutely. We have a team of technical support representatives dedicated to making your life easy! We support hundreds of clients across North America and have been doing so since 1994. Our support is personal and efficient.
Do you provide training?
Yes. You receive 10 hours of technical support with the purchase. We provide as much or as little training as you desire. The software is extremely easy to use - our customers are operational immediately. Ask our customers how long it took them to learn how to use the software!
How do software upgrades work?
We work on the software everyday. We have dedicated programmers improving and adding to the existing software. We release new versions of the software approximately 1 to 2 times per year via our website. New customers receive those upgrades at no cost within their first season. Annual Maintenance Plan members receive upgrades at no cost. If you are not within your first season and you are not an Annual Maintenance Plan member, you may purchase upgrades separately.

How long has the software been around? What are your plans for the future?
The first version of CampBrain was released in 1994. It has been consistently upgraded and supported since that time. We are completely devoted to the camp market and improving our software for our customers. We have specific plans for additional modules and features for CampBrain that will keep us busy well into the future! Call us to discuss these anticipated features.
What type of organization uses CampBrain?
CampBrain is designed for camps and outdoor/conference centers. Our traditional customers include: 1) day, resident, adventure, tripping, sports and other types of camps that register individual campers; and 2) outdoor, conference and retreat centers that register or rent their facilities to groups. These customers include private owners, non-profit organizations, agencies, schools, municipal (city-run) departments, community centers, etc.
Over the years, we have noted an incredible diversity growing in terms of the use of CampBrain beyond just traditional customers. Due to the flexibility and configurability of the software, many other customers now use CampBrain. For example, our customers include adult education training programs, ice skating clubs, ski clubs, day cares, pre-schools, after-school programs and summer school programs.
Can I have more than one camp in the same database?
Yes. One of the advantages of CampBrain is the ability to have multiple camps within one database, each having its own unique sessions, programs and fees. This enables you to maintain your families and campers in one database with no duplication of data entry.
Why would I purchase CampBrain instead of building my own database?
Building fully customized software/database is quite an endeavour. It is not easy. It is expensive in both time and money. It needs to be supported and upgraded. It needs to be user-friendly or else other users will reject it. It needs to last beyond the developer’s willingness to support it. These are just a few points.
